and why do you like them? :)
What are your favourite Irish baby names?
The name Roan can be translated to "Little Red Headed King"
So I have often thought it would be cute if an Irish couple had a baby boy with red hair and named him Roan.
I am not Irish, but my fiance is, so we looked into Irish baby names when we got pregnant, but we are both brunette so the chances of us having a little red-headed boy named Roan would be slim.
:)
Reply:I love Oisin, Darragh, Eoin, Cillian, Ciaran (my dad's name!), Cian, Finn, and Fionn for boys and Aoife, Aisling, Caitriona, Saoirse, Fiona, Niamh, Sinead, Siobhan, and Grainne for girls
To the person who said Erin is an Irish name, they're wrong. Erin is an American name.
Reply:i like Niamh and Aoife but they're very common here in Ireland.I like the name Saoirse because it sounds nice and it means freedom.
For a boy I like Ciaran although it's extremly common,Eoin and Aodh(which is the irish for Hugh, prounced like the letter A).
Reply:Girls: I love the names Niamh, Maebh and Caoimhe (I seem to like names with "v" sounds in them...). Also like the name Ciara
Boys: Fionn is a favourite. Also like Naoise, Seán and Cillian. I like looking at names from Irish legends, eg Fionn
Reply:Abigail because it means a father's joy. What could be a better name.
Kaitlyn because you can have so many nicknames with it.
Shane because it means God is gracious and what a gracious God we do have.
Braden because I think it is a beautiful name.
