Well if you're going to use the name in any of it's spellings as an "Irish" middle name, the only one that would work would be Mae.
Mae is frequently seen in the Irish language in names such as Maeve and Meabh, which are really the same names only spelled differently.
May is more of a Southern US middle name while Mai is most definitely Asian in origin, Chinese and Japanese respectively.
Mae may mai which do you like better? Looking for an irish middle name ,,,?
I prefer Mae, unless the baby is actually born in the month of May, then May would fit. To me Mai would be pronounced like the word "my".
