Is the irish family name O'Coleman of royalty?
There were lots of little tribal warlords calling themselves kings back then-basically, some ancestor of mine was king of six acres of pasture, one stream and a few hundred square yards of bog. The way I understand it, the Gaelic words for chieftain, king, and grand poo-bah are identical, so something probably got lost in translation.
