The pronunciation of Avoca is as follows;
Ah-vo-kah
Avoca is the name of a village and river in Wicklow, Ireland. I've never heard it as a girl's name but admit that it would be a lovely name. The Avonmore and the Avonbeg rivers meet in Avoca to become the Avoca river. It was at this spot known as The meeting of the waters that Thomas Moore the poet wrote the words to a now famous song "Sweet Vale of Avoca"
Below photos of Avoca and the lyrics to the song.
Does anyone know how to pronouce the Irish girl's name Avoca?
