Forename: Adam
Middle: Merlos
Surname: Ramirez
How would my name be in Irish custom?
Adam Merlos mac Ramirez
or if Ted Pack is correct that Ramirez means Son of Ramon. then Adam Merlos mac R茅amonn
Reply:Adam is the same.
I don't know what Merlos means.
Ramirez means "Son of Ramon", and Ramon, in turn, is like the Irish Raymond, so it would be "Adam Merlos Raymondson / Raymonds".
Reply:Ramirez doesn't mean the the son of
the son of in any Irish surname is O'Hare. O'Shea, O'Malley etc.
Reply:It could be that you have ancestors who where part of the Spanish Armarda and were 'shipwrecked' onto Ireland. Just an idea from a book I read once.
