How can I search the electoral roll of the Irish Republic online if I know the person's name but not address?

You can do a search via www.192.com but be warned it is VERY expensive, the free option is to go the main library in that city/town and they will allow you to search for the address you require, but I think its still only the one address search. Hope this helps.

Do you know their area of residence? If not, then you have to start with the basics. Birth and death, marriage records.
Reply:Maybe the central statistics office can help you. but don't expect much help if its a common name like "David Murphy"
Reply:you can't! but you can check the telephone directory for the surname, also you can buy the book "tracing your Irish ancestors" by John Grenham on amazon.com and that gives all the web ans postal addresses for the national records as well as contact numbers for all Irish parishes..

Best of luck!
