it is a made up name... but I would not be surprised if was Native American, like the name Shawanna or Shawnee or Sakajuwea(sp*), or Qualetaga

Reply:It sounds Irish, but it could be something else. It sounds like "Shannon", then it isn't that. "Shabeen" is an illegal Irish joint where moonshine whiskey is served. Don't known for sure.
Reply:I never knew Shawanna was a Native American name or that Shananay was possibly Irish...all I knew was that I'd never give any of my kids those names. Period.
