What Irish or scottish names are there for a girl?

I'd like to me true to my family heritage. I'd like some help with this. I think I have one for a boy, but if you have any great names for a boy let me know too.

Thanks

Carolyn

Reply:We conceived in Ireland, so we wanted a name that had Irish background...

Unfortunately, depending on where you live i suppose, nothing appealed to us for a first name.

So, we picked a middle name, we went with Aislinn. it's irish and it means dream.

We pronounce it AIS-LINN. My sister-in-law used to be a nanny in England and said that that name is really pronounced ASH-LINN, but we fell in love with it pronounced the first way.

And our two year old sounds adorable when she says her full name!!! :)
Reply:I love Irish names.
