Do you know the name of an Irish Gangster series on American TV?

The Black Donnelly`s. The series follows four young Roman Catholic Irish-American brothers in Hell's Kitchen and their involvement with organized crime. Although the show is set in the present day, it draws heavily upon Irish-American history and iconic themes.

On May 14, 2007, the series was officially canceled by NBC.

Do you know the name of an Irish Gangster series on American TV?
I know that 06-07 The Black Donnellys aired on NBC, right after Heroes, but I haven't watched much TV since so I don't know what happened to it. But it was being narrated by this guy who, presumably, was in prison, and there were four brothers, and one of them got beat up at the start of the series, if that helps you at all.

Please help us with our (Irish) baby's name!?

I love the name Kennedi for a little girl- the last name is Ryan. Any suggestions on a middle name that might feminize the first name a bit?

Also, if we have a baby boy, what do you think of the name Kyler or Keegan? Again, I'm unsure of middle names.

I liked Austin as a middle name but I don't think it fits with any of the first name I've picked out.

And, yes, we're Irish. ;-)

Thanks for your suggestions!

Please help us with our (Irish) baby's name!?
I presume when you say you're Irish you mean you're American?

Kennedi is not used as a first name here in Ireland so, if you want a truely Irish name, I suggest you keep looking. However, if you picked the name because to liked it, then obviously use it :)
Reply:Out of the 2 boys names you have I would choose Kyler just because with your last name being Ryan, it would flow better. When both names end with an "an" sound it doesn't sound as good.

Kyler Sean Ryan - I like this one best for the middle name

Reply:Kennedy is horrid and masculine for a little girl, and that spelling is trashy. A middle name is not going to "feminize" a masculine name.

For boys, definitely Keegan.

My dad is full blood french , irish . My mom is hispanic madien name is Rodruigez . What Iam I ?

You're dad isn't full blooded. Since each of your parents contribute half of your blood line, from what you have said you are 1/2 Hispanic, 1/4 French and 1/4 Irish.

My dad is full blood french , irish . My mom is hispanic madien name is Rodruigez . What Iam I ?
There is no such thing as full blood anything.

If you trace your ancestry, you probably will find that a grandfather or great grandfather that came from France had a great great grandparent that came from one of the GErman states, Bohemia etc. There is no such thing as a pure nationality or a pure race.

I always feel that a person who says the are full blooded whatever sound like they are talking about their pedigree horse or dog.

The term "Duke's mixture" was used in my father's family as his mother was a Duke. We are proud kin of old Bull Durham.
Reply:when i was a little girl i asked that same question and my grandmother said i was a duke's mixture

you are one third french, one third irish, one third hispanic; so be proud of your heritage.
Reply:your half hispanic, and part irish and french.

so your hispanic, irish and french.

just call yourself hispanic.
Reply:If your dad is French AND Irish, he's NOT full blood anything.

What you are is Homo Sapiens, same as the rest of us.
Reply:Catholic?
Reply:You are American, with a mixed heritage.

And in addition to the obvious irish, from her last name? i meant is she mulatto at all?

thanks for your answer. however, i was not confused about melissa mcintyre being irish. that's obvious from her last name. she looks to be mulatto. so my question really lies in is she black and irish, or is she mixed with any other ethnicities other than the obvious irish?

And in addition to the obvious irish, from her last name? i meant is she mulatto at all?
everyone is most likely mixed and sometimes the darker race shines through!!!

Name the drink. guiness or irish stout with a hot poker inserted?

Hot Toddies or Hot Totties. Hot toddies, simple mixtures of hot water, sugar, and a single spirit such as whiskey, rum, brandy, and even gin, are remembered by many as old-fashioned cold remedies. While it was the heat, not the spirit, that seemed to make you feel better, toddies are one of those classic comforts we are loath to abandon even today.

Many hot drinks use coffee as their base, laced with either whiskey, rum, brandy, or liqueurs, or a combination of several of these. However, virtually any heated beverage can make a delightful drink, from hot chocolate, tea, cider, steamed milk, and even orange juice to the standards of liquor, ales, wines and spirits.

Q~

Name the drink. guiness or irish stout with a hot poker inserted?
I don't understand the question.
Reply:I believe you are talking about a Mulled Stout. But usually 2 tbsp of sugar is mixed in too.

Is this a good Irish spelling for the name "Karen"--CARYN?

There is no letter Y in the Irish language so you couldn't call 'Caryn' an Irish spelling. The nearest translation of Karen to Irish is spelt 'Caireann'.

Is this a good Irish spelling for the name "Karen"--CARYN?
Karen and it's variants like Caryn are of Greek origin and means 'Pure'.

These are some Irish names that sound kind of close to Karen (I think) and the names meaning.

Caraid - Friend.

Farren - The land.

Keara - The name of a saint.

Kera - Dusky; dark.

Morrin - Long haired.

Tara - Where the kings met.
